Distributor KMR Audio has announced details of three new units from D.A.V. Electronics that are designed to “fulfil essential roles in the studio”.
The three units – the Re-Amper, the Hi Impedance Instrument D.I. and the combined Re-Amper and D.I. – are each priced at just £100.00 (plus VAT).
The new launches mean that it is possible to transform a favourite Mic Amp into a low noise, low distortion, high impedance instrument D.I. or two-channel D.I. with the D.A.V. D.I. and/or Re-Amp D.I. units.
KMR reveals that David Gilmour has already purchased two of the new units, as well as two additional D.A.V. BG1s, making a total of three BG1s and nine BG8s.
Regarding the overall position of D.A.V. in the UK market, Keith Malin, MD of KMR Audio, tells PSNE: “We have seen the D.A.V. brand really take off in the last few years. It’s great to be involved with a British manufacturer, making originally designed products that are widely revered all over the world. D.A.V. don’t waste the end-user’s money by spending it on flashy panels and exotic packaging; these are functional units where all the investment is in the insides – it’s all about the sound. They belie their price, and our clients can’t believe the quality for such a relatively small outlay. With plenty of new and exciting products on the horizon, we’re extremely proud to be their exclusive UK representatives.”
