New JBL VTX line array deployed for Prolight+Sound

Concert system featuring JBL’s new VTX Line Array, Crown V-Racks and Soundcraft digital consoles makes European debut at 2012 PRG Live Entertainment Awards at ProLight+Sound.

Harman Professional last week announced a collaboration with Production Resource Group (PRG) to provide audio components for the Live Entertainment Awards which took place at Prolight+Sound. Comprising multiple Soundcraft Vi Series digital consoles and Crown’s new V-Racks with BSS Omnidrive HD signal processing, this system deployment also served as the European launch of JBL’s new VTX line array series. “It is a great pleasure for us to partner with PRG and work with Klaus Rahe, Kai Reiss and PRG’s entire production team on this prestigious event,” noted Paul Bauman, senior manager, tour sound for JBL Professional. “Having the opportunity to serve the Federal German Association for the Concert and Promoters Business is quite an honor, We are very pleased to be a Gold Sponsor of the 2012 LEA, while showcasing JBL’s new VTX system in the European public launch of our new V25 fullsize line array enclosure this week.” Harman Professional product specialists from the company’s Crown, JBL, and Soundcraft brands were onsite to technically support the system and provide onsite application information for end-users. Veteran live sound engineer Gert Sanner, who recently joined the Harman Professional team to work closely with system owners and operators throughout the EMEA region was Harman’s audio engineer-in-charge for the LEA and subsequent activities at the PRG stage during the Prolight+Sound show.
