Licensing partnership for Audinate and Shure

Audinate’s networking solution continues an impressive year, after 13 new Dante-enabled products were launched at Prolight + Sound in Frankfurt.

Shure Incorporated and Audinate, Inc. have announced a licensing agreement for Audinate’s Dante digital audio networking technology. In what is shaping up to be a big year for the company, this recent news follows an exceptionally successful Prolight + Sound for Audinate, where no less than eight OEM partners announced 13 new Dante-enabled products. The first of Shure’s products to include Dante networking capability are the ULXD4D dual-channel digital wireless receiver and ULXD4Q quad-channel digital wireless receiver, both of which are part of the new ULX-D line and launched at Infocomm 2012 in Las Vegas. “Shure chose to work with Audinate because they deliver a robust, scalable, flexible networking solution that is easy to set up and configure,” said Christine Schyvinck, executive vice president of global marketing and sales. “Dante networking will enable future Shure products to be seamlessly integrated with network-based audio-visual systems in all types of applications. We’re happy to join the growing list of companies that are embracing Dante.” Lee Ellison, Audinate’s CEO, added: “Shure has been at the forefront of many innovations over the years, and we are proud they have chosen Dante as their digital media networking solution. We have been working closely with Shure on these exciting new products for quite some time and are thrilled to see these innovative networked products come to market. Shure is known for its superior performance, and we expect that the networked ULXD family of digital wireless receivers will be a game changer.”
