Lebanon hotspot VEER installs Electro-Voice

Lebanon’s largest fixed audio installation is found at boutique hotel and resort, VEER. The Kaslik region venue opted for an Electro-Voice sound system to meet its varied music requirements.

An Electro-Voice system has been installed in Lebanon’s latest hotspot, VEER: a boutique hotel and resort situated in the Kaslik region, north of Beirut. The invitation to tender required an audio system suited to everything from providing quiet background music, to DJ sets and live concerts. In the end, it was Electro-Voice’s distribution partner AMAC that secured the contract for the project. “Absolutely everyone fought for this project,” said AMAC’s sales manager Wissam Hayeck, who conducted the planning and installation, “but thanks to the technical maturity of our offer, the final decision was in our favor.” After only two weeks of onsite work, and thanks also to assistance from Electro-Voice’s Technical Support team, AMAC completed the installation in time for the official opening. The result is a PA system covering a large area (70 x 50 m) in which there are several bars and swimming pools. For the main sound reinforcement system, the AMAC team opted for two line arrays each comprising twelve Electro-Voice XLD281 elements. Six EV F1152 loudspeakers serve as back fills for the VIP aquarium pool and the restaurant, while 16 Xsubs reinforce the low end. Four TX1152FM and two TX1122FM loudspeakers are available to use as monitors for bands and DJs, as well as three Q99 power amplifiers. Sixteen Electro-Voice CP3000S and four CP4000S amplifiers power the entire system. “The enthusiasm for the installation has been overwhelming,” said Hayeck. “The system is versatile and the sound powerful and of first class quality – everything, in fact, our customer, Mr. Hagop Tekeyan, had hoped for from the installation.”
