Lab.gruppen and Lake training details announced

New certification programme begins this month with initial Level 1 Certification taking place at Adlib Solutions’ facilities in Liverpool.

Lab.gruppen and Lake have announced details of a new training and certification programme being launched later this month. Taking place initially in the UK in conjunction with Adlib Solutions, the programme is designed to introduce key aspects of Lab.gruppen and Lake technologies and develop user familiarity with the companies’ hardware and software platforms. The prgramme begins with a one-day introductory ‘Level 1’ Certification course, to be held at Adlib’s facility in Liverpool on 19-20 April. “Lake Processing is already well established as the system processing environment of choice in the live sound arena and the recent product developments in the shape of the LM Series standalone processors and flagship PLM 20000Q platform have served to drive this uptake even further,” commented Simeon Ludwell, sales manager for Lab.gruppen and Lake in the UK. “The introduction of these officially certified training courses will help to standardise and maintain a level of competency throughout the industry, building upon the excellent Lake training programmes carried out previously by Dolby.” Delegates will participate in practical exercises running Lake Controller software, gaining hands-on experience programming Lake processors for loudspeakers. The course will also cover fundamentals of the Lake platform related to real-world applications, and is designed to ease people through the Lake Processing environment and demonstrate how to get the best from Lake LM Series and Lab.gruppen PLM Series in the field. Delegates who successfully complete the course will be fully certified to program and implement Lake Processing in mid and large-scale live sound systems and qualified for admission to more advanced courses to follow. Those interested in attending these training events should contact Adlib Solutions or their local Lab.gruppen and Lake direct sales channel. Enrolment on the course is subject to a fee of £100 GBP (ex VAT) per person. To register for the course on the 20 April (the 19 April course is sold out), please contact
