NAMM 2020: Adam Hall to showcase new LD Systems and Palmer lines

LD Systems will also be presenting its new brand identity at the show

The Adam Hall Group, a global manufacturer and supplier of event technology solutions, will be presenting various pro audio innovations at the NAMM show 2020 in Hall A (#11613).

In addition to showcasing new products from Palmer and its lighting and stage brands, Cameo and Gravity, its LD Systems line will present its new brand identity to the public at the show.

LD Systems

The LD Systems ICOA 15 inch

LD Systems will be showcasing its new ICOA series of active coaxial PA speakers at the show, which each have a rotating, BEM-optimised CD horn as well as DynX DSP presets. Each ICOA model can be used both vertically as a satellite and horizontally as a stage monitor. The BT versions also enable wireless Bluetooth streaming.

The ICOA series comprises a 12 inch and a 15 inch version which are both available with optional accessories for installation and transport.

The brand will also launch its new MAUI 44 G2 active column PA system at NAMM. Featuring 1,500 W RMS and 130 dB Max. SPL, the MAUI 44 G2 relies on the sound advantages of a cardioid column system and enables controlled dispersion in the low-mid frequencies. In combination with a second subwoofer, the low-end can also be operated in a cardioid configuration, providing focused public address and an acoustically clean stage.

The subwoofer module houses a 15 inch neodymium woofer. The vertical array system consists of a total of 12 3.5 inch neodymium speakers along with four HF drivers coupled to a BEM-optimised wave guide for a homogeneous dispersion pattern. Due to its DynX DSP technology, the MAUI 44 G2 is designed to deliver a distortion-free sound at maximum volumes. The use of aptX and AAC coding ensures high-definition full bandwidth audio over Bluetooth, and the integration of TrueWireless Stereo technology enables wireless stereo sound from two MAUI 44 G2.

Palmer’s MoniconXL

As for Palmer, the brand will be presenting the flagship of its Monicon series of monitor controllers, the Monicon XL. The tool is designed for mixing in both home studio and modern studio environments. The correlation meter displays the phase difference between the left and right channel of a stereo signal, thus revealing mono compatibility errors in a mix. Furthermore, the completely analogue audio circuit guarantees zero latency when monitoring.

Unveiled as a prototype at NAMM 2019, the Monicon XL is now available.

Palmer’s Studiomon 5

Palmer will also showcase the STUDIMON 5, an active five inch studio monitor in a compact bass reflex design. On the rear, the studio monitors feature a bass reflex port, jack and XLR inputs as well as a volume control. The studio monitors can not only be used in the studio, but also flexibly integrated into other pro audio environments.

In addition, Palmer is launching a professional 19 inch BC 400 AA battery charger for battery-powered devices, such as microphones and in-ear monitors. It is controlled by a micro-controller and charges up to 16 AA or AAA batteries at the same time, including a combination of each. Charging stations for two 9 V blocks are available as accessories and can be combined as needed with the AA/AAA charging stations. The charger monitors the charging status of each individual battery, identifies defective batteries, and protects against overcharging and short-circuiting. The built-in multi-voltage power supply facilitates worldwide use.
