Bavaria-based RAIN AGE and North West Rheinland’s Go Audio Rental have added to their inventories with Midas PRO6 live audio systems purchased from German distributor Mega Audio.
“We have been long standing Midas fans since first using the XL200 and XL250,” said RAIN AGE managing director Pascal John. “We still have two H3000s on our books and now we are delighted to invest in Midas digital.”
RAIN AGE’s head of audio and lighting, Martin Heining, had been eager to acquire a PRO6 since first seeing one at Midas’ Kidderminster factory in 2008. “It didn’t even have a name then,” he said, “but I knew it was the future. In our opinion, the PRO6 will become a worldwide audio standard. RAIN AGE provides high class audio, and we wanted to be one of the first German rental companies to offer Midas digital audio.”
Go Audio Rental’s PRO6 is already out on tour with Finnish orchestral rock band Apocalyptica, whose FOH engineer, Michael Bauer (pictured), remarked: “I was interested in trying out the PRO6 after a great experience with an XL8 I used for one show in Poland. The preamps, and particularly the EQs, sound good. There’s no doubt that this is an excellent sounding board.”
