
As was to be expected after bagging a Golden Globe and BAFTA for her composition for Joker, Icelandic composer Hildur Guðnadóttir has done it again at the Oscars, winning the award for Achievement in music written for motion picture (original score). Guðnadóttir also won a GRAMMY for her composition work in the HBO Chernobyl series. The nominees were:

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker – John Williams
As for sound editing, Ford V Ferrari’s sound editor Donald Sylvester came out on top with the Achievement in sound editing award.

1917 and its sound mixers Mark Taylor and Stuart Wilson reigned as number one for the Achievement in sound mixing award. They also won in the Sound category (for both editing and mixing) at this year’s BAFTAs.
