Echo Park converts to NTP

Germany’s Echo Park Studios has invested in six NTP Technology DAD AX24 converters as part of a major system upgrade to its Essen headquarters.

German audio production company Echo Park Studios has chosen NTP Technology’s Digital Audio Denmark (DAD) AX24 analogue/digital/analogue converters as part of a major system upgrade at its Essen headquarters. As previously reported in Pro Sound News Europe, NTP Technology acquired DAD in December 2008. As a result of the deal, DAD became a wholly-owned business unit and brand within NTP. Rüdiger Konetschny (pictured), managing director and producer at Echo Park Studios, commented on the new acquisition: “Altogether six AX24 converters with maximum range are employed, providing our new ADT mixing console with 48 output possibilities. Additionally each of the new DAD converters provides 24 high quality analogue microphone connections. As well as the AX24’s crystal-locked converters, the microphone preamplifiers, implemented as plug-in cards, convinced us so clearly that we decided to update to the various first-class channel strips.” Designed for high quality music recording as well as mastering and monitoring in Digital eXtreme Definition (DXD) and Direct Stream Digital (DSD), The NTP DAD AX24 offers A-D and D-A conversion in pulse-code modulation (PCM) at up to 384 kHz sampling rate, Direct Stream Digital (DSD) at 64 f/s or 128 f/s, and Digital eXtreme Definition (DXD) at 352.8 kHz.
