What is it?A remotely-controllable EtherSound audio bridge suitable for live sound applications. DetailsThe Aqonda 16 is capable of converting up to sixteen analogue signals into as many EtherSound channels, and also of extracting up to sixteen EtherSound channels to sixteen analogue outputs. Housed in a 2U rackmount cabinet, the Aqonda 16 is said to be the first device to implement ES-Giga technology with its 2 x 256 channel count plus additional network and control capabilities. Inputs cover a linear gain range from microphone to line level and benefit from “high-end” preamps which can be remotely controlled from popular digital consoles (such as Yamaha or Innovason) with EtherSound connectivity. Other features include support for ES-Giga TCP/IP data tunnelling, allowing for remote control of various components such as amp control devices, DMX lighting controllers, processors, etc. An 8-in/8-out version of the unit – the Aqonda 8 – is also available.
