CEDAR Audio’s DNS 8 Live at AES 133

CEDAR Audio is preparing for the American launch of its latest dialogue noise suppressor, the DNS 8 Live. Meanwhile, AES is gearing up for the Convention with the release of a new smartphone app.

CEDAR Audio will be showing the DNS 8 Live in America for the first time at the 133rd AES Convention in San Francisco. The new live sound and broadcast-specific dialogue noise suppressor was launched at IBC this year, and builds on its predecessor, the DNS1000. Alongside this, the company will also be demonstrating the latest CEDAR Cambridge V8 system, the DNS1500 and DNS3000 dialogue noise suppressors, and the CEDAR Studio suite of plug-ins. In related AES news, in preparation for the event AES has released the Mobile Convention app, which will provide attendees with Convention details, programme updates and more: “Another new feature is clickable presenter names, enabling rapid access to background credits for every session participant. Changes for the exhibition are even more dramatic,” said AES CIO Steve Johnson. ”The App provides detailed information on each exhibitor, and accelerates downloading of brochures, videos and news releases. Another new button jumps users directly to specific booth locations on the show floor map. It also provides convention news bulletins, a Twitter feed following the #AESorg hashtag, and much more.” The app is available immediately, and can be downloaded free from the AES website.
