Koroll Sonorisation, a Brittany-based rental company, recently invested in a total of 24 APG DX15 multi-purpose monitors. The company quickly put the new equipment to work during its involvement with annual Breton music festival Yaouank (pictured).
Sound engineer and Koroll proprietor Philippe Guillo said that the DX15s had answered his requirement for flexible, high performance coaxial monitor speakers.
“They were exactly what I was looking for,” he said. “Extremely versatile, lightweight, low profile with an interesting choice of angles, and of course they sound very good indeed. I was also impressed with the team at APG and the level of support they provide. In fact, the DX15s are now my premier monitor system.”
Fabrice Tison was among the engineers to use the DX15s at Yaouank, discovering in the process that “musicians love these monitors. All of a sudden they can hear frequencies that they never heard with other systems. The choice of angles is great and they sound good throughout the frequency range – solid at the bottom end with amazing clarity in the mid-his. For my money, the DXs have got what it takes to be on any rider from any artist in the world, whatever their style. Personally, I’d use them again in a heartbeat – no question.”
