Axon ADC24

 What is it?A 4-channel, 24-bit audio A/D converter card with AES/EBU bypass inputs. DetailsA stand-alone, unit, the ADC24 can be used as a generic analogue and digital audio Add-On card for dedicated Synapse master cards with an embedded function. In addition to its analogue inputs, the ADC24 also features AES/EBU inputs with a sample rate converter. It offers a tracking audio delay and a delay offset of up to 650ms at 96kHz or 1300ms at 48kHz. It can be configured as a analogue audio embedder if used in combination with the ASV12, SFS11 or HFS11 (other options are also available). The design allows connection of any input to any output – including a mix of analogue and digital signals. AES/EBU inputs offer selectable SRC (32 – 96kHz sampling) and the 96kHz and 48kHz sample clock can be locked to B&B ref or word clock ref or used in free running mode (In ADD-ON, only 48kHz). Audio data entering the Synapse bus to a master card is identical to the data present in the local AES/EBU outputs. The AES/EBU inputs and outputs are available on 75 ohms BNC or 110 ohms on screw terminals and sub-D connectors. This selection is determined by the type of connector panel. In Add-On mode – as part of the Synapse system – the ADC24 acts as an analogue or digital audio input board that feeds a master card positioned one slot left of the Add-On card.
