Audio-Technica offering UK Allen & Heath training

Audio-Technica, the UK distributor for Allen & Heath mixing desks, is offering audio professionals a series of theoretical and hands-on training events across the UK on the manufacturer’s iLive and GLD mixing systems.

Audio-Technica, the UK distributor for Allen & Heath mixing desks, is offering a series of training events across the country on the manufacturer’s iLive and new GLD system, launched at Winter NAMM 2012. The certified training days are aimed at audio professionals, and designed to give delegates both working theoretical knowledge of the systems and a chance to get hands-on with the mixers during interactive sessions. Response from attendees at the initial training day on 3 August at Base Sound was extremely positive, with Andy Woodward from AW-PA Sound Systems in Kent commenting, “it was really informative, in a non-technical way for people with little digital experience. These are great desks with an impressive feature set – until the training session I didn’t realise just how much you can do with them.” Stuart McKay, Audio-Technica’s digital console and installation specialist said, “We’ve been very pleased with the reaction to the first GLD/iLive training. Rather than being sales-oriented, the sessions are specifically aimed at simply demonstrating the capabilities of the systems, and watching visitors who had never used a digital console previously mixing a multi-tracked band by the end of the day was very satisfying.” Further training dates in the UK are: 21 August LMC Audio Systems, Birmingham 30 August Rock-Tech Projects, York 27 September SFL Group, Reading 3 October Batmink, Glastonbury 10 October Audio-Technica Ltd, Leeds Places for each sessions are limited; those interested in attending should contact Stuart McKay at
