What is it?
A condenser microphone suitable for studio and stage applications – but also for interviews in broadcast environments.
Said to offer extremely smooth, extended on- and off-axis response, the AT8010’s omnidirectional polar pattern is designed to provide maximum ambient pickup. A switchable 80Hz high-pass filter is included to minimise unwanted low-frequency noise. The microphone is designed to operate from an external 11V to 52V DC phantom power source or a 1.5V AA battery and is capable of handling sound input levels up to 137dB (123dB with battery) with a dynamic range of 113dB (99dB with battery). Frequency response is quoted at 20Hz – 20kHz at a sensitivity of 6.3mV/Pa (phantom) and 70dB signal-to-noise ratio. The mic’ can be hand held or stand mounted and is housed in a 178mm long body, complete with on/off switch. It’s supplied with a clamp suitable for mounting on any stand (with 5/8” thread), together with a windscreen, battery and a soft, protective pouch.
