Al Jazeera Sports has installed loudness control systems from Jünger Audio at its new broadcast centre in Doha, writes Kevin Hilton.
Jünger Audio Level Magic normalisers have been installed on all 19 of the broadcasters’ channels to give automatic gain adjustment.
Dubai-based systems integrator Qvest Media, which distributes Jünger Audio’s products in the Middle East, installed 18 B46 digital dynamics processors, each with a HD-SDI board, which performs PGM-Out limiting and levelling. Also part of the installation are six Jünger Audio MIX4 four-fader compact mixers, which also feature HD-SDI connectivity and are used for channel swap and operation control.
“We selected Jünger Audio for limiting, levelling and sound operation control based on the high quality of its products and their intuitive handling,” commented Stephan Seeländer, general manager of Qvest Media. “The nearly loss-free sound, despite heavy sound corrections, is extremely well suited to the level monitoring requirements at Al Jazeera Sports’ play-out facility.”
Peter Poers, managing director of Jünger Audio, adds, “Supplying Al Jazeera Sports Play-out with our technology is another step of a continuous relationship over the years between us and the Al Jazeera group.”
