Adam Audio has introduced new S Control remote control software for its flagship line of S Series speakers, which allows users to remotely control all user parameters and EQ settings on the S Series DSP platform via a Windows or mac OS computer.
With the new software also enabling DSP firmware updates for the S Series speakers at the touch of a button, the company has also announced its first DSP Firmware Update, V1.2. Both the new software and firmware are available to download free of charge to registered Adam Audio users on the new ‘MyADAM’ section of the firm’s website website.
The new S Control software features an intuitive graphic user interface that displays all editable parameters, with individually adjustable software controls for each. A USB connection to the computer-based remote control software allows updates and voicing adjustments or preset selection to be carried out without the need to access the rear panel of the monitors. It also offers a quick way to set up, edit, store and recall the user-adjustable parameters of the S Series speakers.
Furthermore, users can store their preferred Preset information on their computers and recall it for future use, permitting the use of more than the maximum of five built-in presents that can be held in the loudspeaker’s internal memory.
The first S Series Firmware update, V1.2, has been designed to provide enhanced functionality and new tunings for all of the speakers based on the company’s continuous improvement programme, as well as feedback from existing users.
“ADAM Audio has designed a powerful DSP platform for the S Series monitor range so it could be easily updated over time,” said David Angress, Adam Audio chairman, “We are pleased to introduce our S Control Remote Control software, which will enable every S Series owner to always have the latest and most advanced firmware features to control the operation of their speakers.”
