Following massive interest last year, AC-ET’s audio division A.C. Audio will hold two more of its dedicated digital switchover open days at AC-ET’s UK offices. The first will take place on March 9th with Shure in High Wycombe; and the second on March 17th with Sennheiser in Leeds. A.C. Audio is a distributor of wireless and IEM brands and has been following the Ofcom ruling closely, advising users on the best way to prepare for next year’s switch to Channel 38 (606-614 MHz). After much positive feedback the last time round, the format of the March events will be exactly the same, including a Q&A session with members of the BEIRG committee and demos of the manufacturers’ Channel 38 compliant equipment. “We’ve attended a couple of seminars previously at AC-ET,” says director of Futurist Sound & Light James Hudson, “as we are keen to learn as much as possible about the ramifications of the digital switchover.” A.C. Audio has also launched a 2012 digital switchover microsite (www.ac-et.com/audio) which is dedicated to providing all relevant information to users regarding the switchover including an FAQ. With the 2012 deadline fast approaching, A.C. Audio is now in a position to supply wireless equipment brands and models so that companies can begin future proofing their investments. This includes a stock of Sennheiser’s G3 GB 100, 300 and 500 Series, 2000 Series, and 300 Series IEMs; and Shure’s UHF-R, SLX, and PSM900 IEM Channel 38 compliant products; plus a range of other pro audio manufacturers’ products including Beyerdynamic, AKG and Audio Technica.
