ABTT Theatre Show up 23.5 pc on 2009

The success of the 2010 ABTT Theatre Show will serve to reinforce the organisers' claim that this event is "considered the key industry showcase for technical theatre in the UK".

The 32nd ABTT Theatre Show is said to have been the biggest yet both in terms of visitor numbers and exhibiting companies. Lab.gruppen, Nexo and Roland UK were among the manufacturers making their ABTT Theatre Show debuts, while the event itself was previewed extensively by PSN-e (here and here).

The event’s compact footprint, “un-intimidating atmosphere” and expanding visitor base were among the factors cited by the ABTT in explaining the success of the 2010 Theatre Show. Looking ahead, the organisation has already announced that the 2011 event will take place at the same venue, the Royal Horticultural Halls in London, on 15/16 June.

Show director Roger Fox commented: “We’re thrilled to have re-instated our position of growth after 2009’s tube strike that affected our visitor numbers. We have maintained our quality and presented a show that was packed with innovation and over 30 new product launches. It was great to see the high level of investment in the exhibitors’ stands with nearly 50% opting for ‘space only’ options. Our aim is to create an even better event with even more visitors in 2011.”
