UK: International Music Industry Week (IMIW) will take place in London this June, writes David Davies. Comprising a trade show, conference, networking sessions and live performance showcases, IMIW is scheduled to run from June 16-18, with the conference and trade show elements taking place at Earls Court.

The conference at the heart of the event will focus on the issues affecting the music sector during the present economic crisis. The free-to-enter trade show, meanwhile, will contain exhibitors ranging from independent labels to lawyers and merchandisers, along with a dedicated learning zone.

IMIW will also afford plenty of opportunities for networking - not least through a VIP Networking Lounge exclusive to Conference and Business Zone delegates - and countless live performance showcases, to be held at venues throughout the West End.

Event director Chris Down - pictured here between co-organisers David Conway and Matthew Tyrrell - tells PSN-e: "The aim of IMIW is to bring the world's music community together for a major networking, showcasing and learning experience - and a place to do business in London. A core element of our audience is made up of producers, artists and management, publishers and studio managers, as well as DIY-ers and home producers looking for tomorrow's software and hardware solutions. The free-to-enter trade show and high value world class conference programme will ensure a packed two-day event. We look forward to welcoming the readers of Pro Sound News Europe."
