UK: DMX Productions is making frequent use of its newly purchased Electro-Voice XLD compact line array system at Birmingham's Q CLUB. Back in action after a five-year hiatus, the Q CLUB is housed in a former Methodist church and is used for a variety of dance events, reports PSN-e.
A typical XLD configuration at the venue is centred around six flown XLD281 modules on each side of the dancefloor, accompanied by two XLC215 subwoofers and up to 12 Xsubs. The system is used in conjunction with EV Tour Grade amplifiers, IRIS-Net control and supervision software, Klark-Teknik DN9340 Helix processors and a 40-channel Midas Verona analogue console. In addition, EV ZXA5 powered monitors are at the disposal of the DJs.
