An 800-seat opera house in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi will be equipped with an audio, video and stage management system from Salzbrenner Stagetec Mediagroup during a refurbishment.
The building was opened in 1896 and is scheduled to reopen following the completion of the refurbishment in the second half of 2014.
As part of the restoration, an Auratus mixing console with Nexus audio network for sound reinforcement will be installed in the theatre, as well as an extensive stage management system from the PerformanCeTRL product line.
The new system also comprises components from the Oratis intercom series, which provides all the audio functions and extensive logic programming, while MediaControl handles the light signals for the many lights labelled in Georgian characters.
An extensive video infrastructure with cameras and monitor screens complements the stage management system.
