The Association of Professional Recording Services (APRS) has increased Trade Access Programme (TAP) grants to £1,800 for UK exhibitors at AES Budapest in April. The deadline for applications is rapidly approaching though – it's been extended to Friday, 9 March – so interested parties need to act immediately.
The Audio Engineering Societies’ (AES) executive director Bob Moses reports that the grant is available to any eligible UK company wishing to exhibit at the AES Convention set for 26-29 April, 2012 at the Budapest Congress & World Trade Center (pictured). This year’s exhibition will adopt a different format from previous European AES events. Those unsure if they qualify for a grant are urged to contact contact Francesca Smith at the APRS directly at admin@aprs.co.uk or by phone: +44 18 0386 8600 and the APRS will go through the process with you. To download a copy of the AES Exhibit Space Application and Contract Form, click here. Moses also points out that the APRS will host a networking reception on Friday evening, 27 April, to which all UK exhibitors, their customers, and distributors are invited. With plenty of help from the British Embassy's UK Trade & Investment's experts in Hungary, the AES will also ensure as many potential clients as possible within Hungary will be invited to the reception. The APRS invites all UK-based companies considering attending AES as an exhibitor to take advantage of these benefits, and reports that with the grant, exhibiting at AES Budapest could cost very little. For example, a standard 2m x 2m booth, including VAT, costs £948.17 at AES while a 3m x 3m booth is available for £1,422.26 (rates taken on 24 February 2012). www.aprs.co.ukwww.aes.org

APRS to provide UK support at AES

UK: The APRS and UK Trade & Investment want to hear from new UK product innovators and manufacturers, reports PSN-e. The Association of Professional Recording Services and the international trade organisation UK Trade & Investment (which is headed up by Lord Digby Jones and Andrew Cahn) are inviting emerging innovators with prototype products and young manufacturing companies interested in exporting to the USA to apply for support in attending this October's AES Convention.

APRS announces AES Europe booth plan

UK/GERMANY: The organisation has teamed up with a UK government body to offer a discounted booth rate, writes David Davies. Thanks to what is described as a "unique relationship" between the APRS, the AES and UKTI - the branch of the UK government responsible for supporting exports - UK exhibitors will have the opportunity to take up a discounted booth rate in an APRS/UKTI Village area.
