UK: Sound, lighting and staging equipment supplier Stage Electrics has announced plans to host a series of product overview sessions at its branches across the UK this spring. Set to be of the greatest potential interest to PSN-e readers are the events involving Yamaha (starting today at Stage Electrics' Bristol branch, pictured here) and Roland (April), writes David Davies.

The Yamaha sessions - also due to take place in London (February 6th), Cambridge (7th), Exeter (19th), Birmingham (20th) and Tyneside (21st) - will provide a basic introduction to the manufacturer's current desks, including the PM5D. Six one-hour sessions are due to take place at each branch.

"Yamaha will be showcasing its latest desks and talking about the key features, basic uses and functions," says Stage Electrics' training manager, Sara Alarabi.

Meanwhile, the Roland events - for which there is no firm agenda - will take place in Birmingham (April 7th), Cambridge (8th), Tyneside (9th) and Bristol (10th).

Anyone wishing to attend these sessions should send an email to customertraining@stage-electrics.co.uk or call Sara Alarabi on 0117 937 9503.

Alarabi adds that there are also plans for Roland to run a full, one-day structured training course with the title 'A Practical Guide to Live Audio'. This event is due to take place at Bristol's Colston Hall on April 17th.
