Shure Distribution UK plans charity cycle effort

UK: Six staff members will be taking part in the London to Cambridge Cycle ride in memory of late MD Dennis Harburn (pictured), reports PSN-e. The 60-mile race takes place on July 26 and will see the Shure Distribution UK (SDUK) team raising money for Harburn's nominated charity, The Oliver Fisher Specialist Baby Care Trust at Medway Hospital (link below).

UK: Six staff members will be taking part in the London to Cambridge Cycle ride in memory of late MD Dennis Harburn (pictured), reports PSN-e. The 60-mile race takes place on July 26 and will see the Shure Distribution UK (SDUK) team raising money for Harburn's nominated charity, The Oliver Fisher Specialist Baby Care Trust at Medway Hospital (link below).

The SDUK staff participating in the race are Steve Coulter (procurement/marketing), Kirsty Lamport (marketing), Paul Crognale (marketing), Tom Colman (applications & sales desk), Jay Walpole (sales rep) and Dave Philips (sales rep).

The team's involvement in the race is being marked with a specially-designed T-shirt influenced by Kraftwerk's seminal single 'Tour De France'. Available in S-M-L-XL-XXL sizes, the T-shirts cost _15 - _5 of which will be going to charity, with the rest on production costs - and can be purchased by emailing stevec@shuredistribution.co.uk with order details by the end of June. Payments should be made by issuing a cheque payable to 'Steve Coulter' at the Shure Distribution UK office (full address on the website listed below) or via PayPal to the following account: stevecoulter@btinternet.com.

SDUK is also inviting sponsorship for the race, with contributions to be made by the same methods as above. In addition, there will also be a collection box in the SDUK reception for cash donations.

Lab.gruppen announces UK distribution deal with new company Audioforce

UK: As of yesterday (March 19), Audioforce has become the exclusive UK distributor of Lab.gruppen. The deal - which follows the announcement in February that the amplifier manufacturer's previous arrangement with Sennheiser UK was to come to an end - marks the emergence onto the British scene of a new distributor with a resoundingly ambitious objective. UK: The audio division of A.C. Lighting has been appointed as an authorised UK distributor for the Powersoft pro-audio power amplifier range. A.C. Audio was selected as one of only four distribution partners in collaboration with Sennheiser UK, based on criteria including distribution capability, stock holding facility and reputation for providing "elite products" and customer support, reports David Davies.
