HOLLAND: Audio-Technica and Tannoy are among the companies to have revealed their ISE plans, writes David Davies. The 2009 instalment of Integrated Systems Europe is set to play host to a comprehensive showcase of new and recently introduced pro-audio product when it takes place at the Amsterdam RAI from February 3rd to 5th.
Audio-Technica is to highlight the new ATCS-60 wireless conferencing system, designed to deliver “exceptional versatility and functionality” in an easily-configurable hardware/software package. The ATCS-60 system components are the ATCS-M60 delegate unit, the ATCS-60MIC double-gooseneck hypercardioid condenser microphone, the ATCS-60 master control unit (pictured), the ATCS-A60 IR transmitter/receiver and ATCS-C60MAG conference manager software.
Audica Professional is to exhibit its complete range of MICROseries electronics and loudspeakers for background music, AV and audio communication applications. The range consists of the MICROpoint and MICROline wall-mount loudspeakers, the MICROdot ceiling loudspeaker, the MICROzone five-configuration amplifier/controller and – representing the newest addition – the MICROplus, an ultra-compact four-channel power amp with the same size and style of head-unit mounting as the MICROzone, which it is designed to partner.
Canford Audio is to show a host of interconnection products at ISE 2009, including a selection of RDL (Radio Design Labs) audio and video processing units, various inter-series adapters, and Canford’s new Universal Modular Panels. According to Canford, the new Universal Modular Panel system gives users the ability to mount virtually any combination of audio, video, data and power connectors in a 2U rack panel without expensive custom metalwork.
Tannoy is to highlight QFlex, which is a series of self-powered, digitally steerable loudspeaker arrays using ‘beam-steering’ DSP technology. By focusing the acoustical output in the target directions where it is required, Tannoy’s new range is designed specifically to overcome intelligibility problems associated with highly reverberant surroundings. Other new products on show will include the i9VP loudspeaker and the new CVS4 Micro ultra-compact shallow back can ceiling speaker.
