UK: The North of England entertainment technology networking event will take place in Leeds on April 28/29, writes PSN-e. Billed as an informal two-day event providing an opportunity “to find solutions and discover what’s new for 2009”, PLASA Focus Leeds supersedes the A.C. Lighting North Trade Show, which was acquired by PLASA in 2007.
The show is approaching sell-out and will host audio exhibitors including Allen & Heath, Alcons Audio, Duran Audio, KV2 Audio, Martin Audio, Ohm (UK), Sennheiser UK, Shure Distribution UK, Sound Technology, Total Audio Solutions and Yamaha Music UK.
“We have just shy of 100 exhibiting companies across the two halls at the event and quite literally a handful of stands left now,” says PLASA Events’ Sophie Atkinson, adding that visitor pre-registration already exceeds 1300.
In addition to the show floor, the event will also include a two-day seminar programme. Six (of eight) seminars have been confirmed to date, namely: ‘Tallescopes – Friend or Foe?’, ‘PPE for Working At Height – Clearing The Mist’ and ‘The Theatres Trust – Open Forum’ (Tuesday 28); and ‘Sustainable Events – Making BS8901 Work For You’, ‘Freelancing In The Industry’ and ‘Regulatory Reform – Fire Safety’ (Wednesday 29). All seminars are free to attend.
The venue for the inaugural PLASA Focus event is the Saviles and Royal Armouries Halls of The Royal Armouries (pictured) in Leeds.
