GERMANY/SWITZERLAND: TC Electronic Switzerland has joined Lab.gruppen's stable of distributors, writes David Davies. Previously distributed in Switzerland by Audio Tech, Lab.gruppen has appointed TC Electronic Switzerland to represent its products in the country with effect from July 1st. Day-to-day operations for the brand are to be handled by Giovanni Dolci, who tells PSN-e that he expects to double Lab.gruppen's turnover in Switzerland within two years.

A respected audio professional with considerable experience of both the live sound and installation markets, Dolci has particularly high hopes for the PLM (Powered Loudspeaker Management) and installation-oriented C Series ranges.

"The PLM 10000Q amplifier with Dolby Lake Controller software will probably be the best-selling product," says Dolci. "I also expect the four- and eight-channel C Series products to be very successful in the installation market."

Dolci points to the recent addition of PLM series amplifiers to the inventory of Aesch-based Audio Rent - which is part-owned by Clair Brothers US - as evidence that the Lab.gruppen brand is now achieving increasing recognition in the Swiss market. "I am expecting within the next two years to double the turnover of Lab.gruppen in Switzerland," he says.

Lab.gruppen's international sales manager, Claus Behrens (pictured), highlights the "obvious synergy" with the new distributor, which is part of the same holding company as Lab.gruppen, TC Group.

"We have had a good market already in Switzerland, but I believe that with Giovanni on board and having more direct contact with the market there is reason to have high expectations for the future," Behrens tells PSN-e. "Getting direct feedback from the market is very important, and I will have that with Giovanni."
