AUSTRIA: Eltner GesmbH has become the new Austrian distributor for Midas and Klark Teknik. The brands will be added to the company's 'e.tainment - sound, light & media solutions' division in a move that Midas/KT international sales manager David Wiggins describes as representing "something of a new beginning for Midas and KT in Austria", reports David Davies.

The division - which deals primarily with the rental, installation and MI industries - is already responsible for distributing a range of top-end audio, lighting and associated products from brands including Electro-Voice and Dynacord. It will now also handle the full range of Midas consoles and Klark Teknik signal processing equipment, to be overseen by product and sales manager Thomas Hasenauer.

Midas and Klark Teknik international sales manager David Wiggins tells PSN-e: "Appointing a Midas and KT distributor is not always easy, because of what we expect of them. The quality of representation, service and all aspects of their business has to be appropriate to the quality of our products, and I'm delighted to say that Eltner meet our requirements in all respects. This is something of a new beginning for Midas and KT in Austria, and we're looking forward to a long and prosperous relationship with our new partner."

"We are really proud to be a member of the Midas and KT family, and are confident that we will be able to raise the profile of these two brands in Austria," commented Eltner's sales manager, Matthas Reinthaler. "The most important thing is to be in regular contact with the customers, conducting demos, workshops and training. It's vital to be in touch with the consumers' needs in order to carry this out properly."
