POLAND: The announcement took place at the 10th anniversary celebration of Audio Plus, writes David Davies. The Polish EVI Audio partner celebrated the completion of its first decade with a Concert Sound Academy, a live gala, and the announcement that – in addition to Electro-Voice and TELEX/RTS – it will now also distribute Midas and Klark Teknik in Poland.
The expanded responsibilities have led to the creation of a new subsidiary, Midas Consoles Poland.
“Now that Audio Plus is able to offer the entire spectrum of concert sound equipment, from microphones to consoles, processors, power amplifiers, and loudspeakers, we will be able to inject new energy into the Polish market,” commented Audio Plus president Krzysztof Sokol. “We have every reason to face the future with confidence.”
The anniversary celebrations took place at the Sielanka Conference and Equestrian Centre near Warsaw, and included a Concert Sound Academy of product presentations and demos, a charity auction to benefit a local school, and live performances from Polish performers such as Patrycia Markowska, Zbigniew Krebs and Patti Sokol.
Subsequent to the gala event, Audio Plus has registered orders for Electro-Voice line array systems, two Midas Heritage 3000 consoles and – a first in Poland – an XL8 system.
Midas Consoles Poland is not the only subsidiary to have been created in recent years, with Midas Consoles Benelux – superseding the earlier Midas Consoles Holland – making its debut in July 2007.
