Funktion-One will be making its fourth appearance at ISE in Amsterdam this week. The company will feature the MST Horns, which will be playing a crucial role at the bobsleigh track at the Winter Olympics in Sochi.

The 'Modular Stadium Technology' is designed for "large, acoustically challenging environments such as arenas and stadia."

"MST Horns allow sound to be focused where it's needed, without unnecessarily exciting the reverberant space leading to clear message transmission and intimate, intelligible and involving sound," states the company. The project at the Winter Olympics in Sochi picked up Permanent Installation Project of the Year at the Pro Sound Awards 2013 and the Bolshoy Ice Dome, home to the hockey competition, features the largest MST deployment to date.

Sochi 2014 is fully Funktional

As Russia prepares for its first Winter Games, an impressive infrastructure is evolving and has led to the development of 11 new sports venues - two of which Funktion-One has specced from the ground up.
