Sister publication Installation is proud to present a new concept in case study-led conferences for the installed AV market. Installation Showcase makes its debut on 5 November 2013 at BAFTA on London's Piccadilly. Installation Showcase is a new kind of conference event for the AV industry. It is based around case study presentations in a particular market sector, which is different every time the event takes place. After all the presentations – given by integrators, consultants or clients – are completed, the audience members have their say by voting for the project that they feel scores highest on innovation, value for money and wow factor. The winning projects receive awards. The first Installation Showcase is devoted to entertainment venues - such as stadia, arenas, theatres, auditoria, concert halls and cinemas. Questions likely to be addressed include: • How do you ensure that venues are suitably equipped for multi-purpose use? • How are the audio and video networking decisions arrived at? • How is futureproofing achieved? In addition to the case studies, panel discussions will provide an opportunity to discuss and debate some of the wider issues affecting AV integration projects. "Installation Showcase provides a great opportunity to explore the detail of integration projects in key sectors," said Paddy Baker, Editor of Installation. "The voting format introduces a competitive element which provides an element of fun, but should also keep the presenters on their toes." More details of the programme for Installation Showcase: Entertainment will be made available during the coming weeks. There's also a dedicated website for the event, which will be updated over the coming weeks.
