Fairlight's Xynergi Media Production Centre has received a C+T Award for Innovation, writes PSN-e. The honour comes a matter of weeks after the system picked up an Australian International Design Award. Sponsored by Content+Technology magazine, the C+T Awards 2008 was presented during a gala ceremony at the Shore Club in Manly, Sydney.

Fairlight's Xynergi Media Production Centre harnesses the 'green' processing power of the company's Crystal Core technology (CC-1), described as "a radical departure" from existing audio processing systems. It also incorporates integrated PyxisTrack video and features the Xynergi controller, a desktop user interface that allows engineers to access all features and functions of the Fairlight CC-1, as well as commonly used Windows applications such as email, Word and Excel.

Targeted at users requiring a professional-grade audio finishing system to create multimedia projects, the Fairlight Xynergi has been installed in a number of major broadcast and post facilities around the world, including NHK in Japan, Sonacom in France, and Grand Central in London.

"The fact that Xynergi, which was only launched last October, has already notched up two prestigious awards shows just how revolutionary this technology is," commented Fairlight's chief technical officer, Tino Fibaek, pictured here receiving the company's fourth Australian Design Award. "It has always been our intention to create products that make life easier for our customers because they are innovative and well-designed. To have our efforts recognised in this way is an amazing honour and a real endorsement of the intense effort that has gone into Xynergi's R&D."
