HUNGARY: NEXO has recorded one of its largest system sales into eastern Europe, writes David Davies. Budapest-based A-Logic Stage System has taken delivery of a substantial GEO T line array inventory, complete with amplifiers and operational accessories. The sales was handled by World Marketing Associates on behalf of NEXO and Lisys, distributor for NEXO products in Hungary.
Specifically, A-Logic has taken delivery of 48 GEO T4805 and ten T2815 modules, along with 24 CD18 sub-bass units. There are six amp racks for the speaker hangs, each containing a NX242 system controller, GEO T distro and five CAMCO Vortex 6 amplifiers. Amp racks for the CD18 subs contain CAMCO's Vortex 200V models.
Lisys also supplied Yamaha and Midas consoles, Shure microphones, chainhosts, trusses and a full moving heads lighting system to the company as part of an order worth 1.4m euros.
"There have never been many large rigs in the accession countries as the acts that can attract large crowds generally tour with their own production," said World Marketing Associates' Francis Williams. "However, this investment by A-Logic is significant as they can take the indisputable technical knowledge base of Hungary and combine it with lower running costs to make a business with pan-European potential."
