A d&b audiotechnik V-Series line array is the centrepiece of a new concert hall in Rezekne, Latvia.

Sound reinforcement for Gors (meaning “Spirit” in English), Latvia’s first modern, purpose-built concert hall and arts centre, was handled Riga-based Universal Baltic Sound (UBS).

“The concert hall is wholly funded by Rezenke city council,” says UBS’s director, Edmunds Zazerkis, who had a budget of 12.8 million Latvian lats (£15.21m), “[and] a left/right system of V-Series loudspeakers, with the d&b 10S for fill duties, made for a very affordable package.

“More importantly, the precise constant directivity of the V-Series, with the V-SUBs flown above the main line array, gave us absolute pattern control down into the lower frequencies.”

Entec invests in d&b V-Series

London-based rental company Entec Sound & Light has added more d&b loudspeakers to its hire stock, investing in the German manufacturer’s V-Series line array system.

V-Series flies at Teenage Cancer gigs

Entec’s sound division once again supplied a d&b system to the 2012 Teenage Cancer Trust shows at London’s Royal Albert Hall last month, taking the opportunity to use the new d&b V-Series speakers as part of the main system for the high-profile event.

Orbital Sound takes d&b's T-Series on the road

UK: Orbital has recently invested in more than 100+ units of d&b audiotechnik's new T-Series loudspeaker system, reports David Davies. PSN-e has learnt that Orbital also has a further 50 units on immediate order. In the meantime, the company is putting its current inventory to work on three contrasting UK productions that are said to demonstrate the T-Series' versatility both as a compact line array and a standalone point source system.
