GoIndustry auctioning BBC Scotland pro-audio equipment this week

UK: London-based asset sales and services company GoIndustry is to auction over 1,400 lots of pro-audio equipment on behalf of the BBC prior to the much-anticipated relocation of the broadcaster's Scottish operation to new premises in Glasgow's Pacific Quay. The 'surplus technology equipment' sale is set to close this Thursday (September 27th) following two days of viewings, writes David Davies.

UK: London-based asset sales and services company GoIndustry is to auction over 1,400 lots of pro-audio equipment on behalf of the BBC prior to the much-anticipated relocation of the broadcaster's Scottish operation to new premises in Glasgow's Pacific Quay. The 'surplus technology equipment' sale is set to close this Thursday (September 27th) following two days of viewings, writes David Davies.

The 1,400-plus lots include vision mixers, matrixes, audio consoles, transnmission equipment, audio and video monitors - and more. A number of items - including SSL SL8000 24-channel and SL4000E 40-channel consoles - are for sale by private treaty.

"These four online auctions have opened a great opportunity to get hold of some vintage audio production equipment from BBC Scotland's old premises, and so far the amount of interest from audio professionals and enthusiasts around Europe has been very high," says GoIndustry campaign marketer Tuukka Tulosmaa. "We're looking forward to having a series of exciting auction closures on Thursday."
