Martin Audio was set to host two open days at its High Wycombe, UK headquarters on March 17-19. However, due to the impact of the global coronavirus outbreak that led the brand to pull out of Prolight + Sound 2020 and the trade show to ultimately cancel, the open days are not going ahead.
Martin Audio said: “It is with great regret that we have to inform you we have taken the decision to cancel the UK Open Days next week, owing to coronavirus / COVID-19. It has been a difficult decision but given developments overnight in the UK and with a view that by the middle of next week we could have significantly higher recorded cases, let alone non-recorded cases of the virus in the UK, then placing our staff and yourselves at unnecessary risk is something we had a duty of care to protect against. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused, but these are obviously challenging times for the industry.”
