Ahead of this year’s frantically busy festival season, PA supplier Wigwam Acoustics has added five of the new Midas ‘digilogue’ consoles to its inventory.

Returning to the live arena after a lengthy period in the studio, Coldplay will be using one of the VeniceFs to provide audio splits for recording throughout the band’s summer festival run.

Elsewhere, two of the desks are being used at the Hampton Court Festival, with a further two at the Isle of Wight Festival.

Wigwam’s Chris Hill explained: “We bought the VeniceFs as they offer great sonic quality, affordable prices and great packaging, as well as providing flexibility for our dry hire customers.”

Once the festival season has concluded, two of the desks will go into stock for Wigwam’s new venture, Fac365 Ltd. Based at Manchester’s MediaCity, the new company will provide equipment, crew and facilities to the broadcast sector.
