Audinate, Lab.gruppen, MediaMatrix, Yamaha and AVNetworks are to host a special event about networking technologies in Amsterdam early next month.

The one-day session follows hot on the heels of the PSNE/IE-hosted AVNetworks event, held during PLASA 2010.

Reflecting the increasing prevalence of AV/IT convergence, the session will examine how digital media networking being used now and how it will be deployed in the future.

Further representations from sponsors Lab.guppen, Peavey/Media Matrix and Yamaha will be made at the event, which will run from 9am to 5pm on Tuesday 1 February at the Holiday Inn Amsterdam Boelelaan 2, 1083 HJ, Netherlands – close to the RAI exhibition hall. Attendance will be limited to AV consultants, integrators, designers, sound engineers or by special invitation.

Leading consultant Roland Hemming will make a special ‘Introduction to Voice Alarm Systems’ presentation, while other confirmed sessions include: ‘Media Networking: That was then, this is now’ with Chris Ware (Audinate); ‘Digital Media Networking with MediaMatrix’ with James Kennedy (Peavey); ‘Lab.gruppen & Lake products: Large and small scale systems’ with Miguel Hadelich (Lab.gruppen); ‘Networking Yamaha systems with Dante’ with Andy Cooper (Yamaha); and ‘Migration to an AVB system’, with Aidan Williams (pictured, from Audinate). The event will be chaired by PSNE editor Dave Robinson.
