The heritage audio brand says that its presence at Prolight + Sound last month yielded potential distribution opportunities in more than 40 new territories and market sectors.
The company also announced the strengthening of its sales operation with the appointment of Wei Li as global sales manager. Wei Li comes to the company with a background in facilitating the participation of major international companies in the events and infrastructure projects market throughout Europe.
“Wei Li brings a unique skills set to this new position in the sales team,” said head of marketing Patrick Almond, pictured here (right) with Studiomaster head of design Paul Belcher. “The creation of this position and her appointment reflects the global ambitions for the Studiomaster brand moving forward.”
Specific products on show during PL + S included the company’s first digital mixer – the DIGILIVE 24 – and a production prototype of the Horizon 2012 powered mixer. The company also announced details of its new patented digital amplifier design concept, Polyphase Switching Amplification, which combines current dumping with a polyphase output stage.
“The number of people visiting the stand was significantly higher than in previous years and the level of interest from trade visitors was greatly in excess of our expectations, and clearly owed much to our new product strategy. New distribution channels were opened up, with over 40 new sectors or territories to be set up in the following months,” said Almond.
