Following the opening of its Middle East and Africa (MEA) regional office in Dubai last year, Shure EMEA today announced two new market development offices in Switzerland and Austria. The offices, opening this summer, will be responsible for strategic market development in these countries.
The microphone giant has also established a regional office in Moscow, Shure REE, responsible for market development in Russia and distribution management for the Russia–Eastern Europe region.
Herbert Muff will head Shure’s market development office in Switzerland, while Gerd Kostial will run the office in Austria. Angelika Oernfelt will lead the regional office in Moscow.
All new offices will report to Ron Marchant, general manager of EMEA sales, based at Shure EMEA’s headquarters in Eppingen, Germany (pictured).
Markus Winkler, managing director of Shure EMEA, comments: "Establishing offices in these countries will complement the efforts of our local distributors. Through a close and ongoing collaboration, we will offer additional levels of support to professional customers.
"In addition, our collective efforts will drive greater brand awareness of Shure’s integrated systems portfolio among international organisations and global corporate customers based in these countries. We are excited about the possibilities this brings and the potential to further develop our strong position in those countries."
PSNEurope visited Eppingen last June to learn about 'Distribution 2.0', a fundamental analysis and re-evaluation by Shure of its partner network (see Shure strength: Distribution 2.0).
