From its relatively humble origins in Geneva in 2004, Integrated Systems Europe has followed a steep growth curve. The show moved to Amsterdam in 2006 and in 2012 welcomed more than 800 exhibitors and around 40,000 attendees; the 2013 edition looks set to be another record-breaker. As well as continually expanding the show floor, the ISE show has pursued a path of innovation and growth in its conference and education programme. Topics up for discussion in 2013 include ‘Setting Audio Gain – Getting it right with Lectrosonic’s Gordon Moore and ‘The Secret of a Good Sound System Design’ with Janko Ramuscak of d&b audiotechnik. Also new for 2013 is the opening of Hall 8 for the first time. Pro-audio manufacturers will be located in this hall alongside those from the building automation and digital signage markets, among others. On the showfloor, a host of companies are making product debuts, with some exhibiting in Amsterdam for the first time. One such company is Coda Audio. The company will be focusing on its new three-way line array system, ViRAY (revealed by PSNEurope in November), which will be on show along with the company’s CoRAY, G and D series. Italian manufacturer RCF is launching the AX 8042 digital matrix-mixer and automixer. Designed for install sound and commercial audio applications, RCF claims that the AX 8042 offers the most flexibility and control ever in any single 1U device. The DA6 is the newest member of Community Professional Loudspeakers’ Distributed Design Series and is being presented for the first time in Europe at ISE. It is a high-output, full-range architectural surface-mount loudspeaker which Community has designed to complement public spaces. Want to know more?
