The October 2015 issue of PSNEurope is now available to read online.
This month’s magazine went to press the morning after the night before – the night before in this instance being the 2015 Pro Sound Awards (as Dave Robinson wrote in his editor’s letter, “I’m sat writing this barely hours after being equipped with a balloon jetpack and blasting across the dancefloor at […] the Ministry of Sound”) – and opens with a double-page spread of all the winners from the big night on Thursday 24 September.
Other award winners in September included Canford, Avid and Sennheiser, all of which took home PSNEurope‘s annual IBC Best of Show awards from the Amsterdam trade show (recapped here), and Abbey Road Studios, which is rightly celebrating following the granting of planning permission for a multi-million-pound expansion, the largest since the studios were established in the 1930s.
While the October issue seems to have (purely accidentally) turned into something of a studio special – we’ve been fortunate enough to share a mixing desk with the likes of Muse’s Tommaso Colliva, Cenzo Townshend and Mute Records’ Daniel Miller recently – there’s still (to paraphrase Baz Luhrmann) something for everyone: From Belgian beach festivals with Bose to columns by the always-opinionated Dave Wiggins and Erica Basnicki, features on audio for houses of worship and (what else?) studio business, the “‘Eureka moment'” behind Powersoft’s mould-breaking M-Force transducer technology and celebrating Sennheiser’s 70th and the big 2-0 for DAB radio…
