Midas/Klark Teknik promise their "biggest multi-product launch ever", while Allen & Heath will add a new MixRack to the iLive family, writes David Davies. Harman Professional and Technomad are among the many other companies to have revealed their plans for InfoComm 2010, which takes place from June 5-11 (conference) and June 9-11 (exhibition). The show is expected to attract over 32,000 professionals from 90-plus countries.

Allen & Heath will introduce the iDR-64 larger format fixed I/O Mix Rack to the iLive digital mixer family, providing high I/O capacity and a lower-cost alternative to the flagship modular iDR10 MixRack. The iDR-64 comprises 64 mic/line inputs and 32 XLR outputs in a 9U frame, and features the iLive 64x32 RackExtra DSP mix engine, providing full processing (dynamics, EQ and delay) for all 64 channels and 32 mixes. The RackFX DSP framework provides 8 stereo processors, with each Rack offering flexible I/O routing with EQ and Dynamik FXShaper on every dedicated return.

Allen & Heath MD, Glenn Rogers remarked: "Not only does the iDR-64 provide a great solution for larger, more demanding events, it would also be an ideal partner to a second iLive MixRack using the Dual-Rack function to expand to up to 128 channels."

Bosch Security Systems will launch the CCS 900 Ultro in the Americas - a new discussion system intended primarily for small- to medium-sized meeting areas, including town halls, local business centres and courtrooms. It offers an array of new features that make it easy to manage meetings, including an advanced, patent-pending 'Possible-To-Speak' function that provides a visual indication of when the microphone is available for a delegate to take the floor.

Harman Professional will hold multiple training sessions and discussions throughout InfoComm 2010 that focus exclusively on AVB. "As more members of the professional A/V community begin to adopt AVB protocols, and the single A/V network standard becomes a reality, Harman Professional will continue to support and introduce new products that enhance the efficiency of A/V delivery," commented Adam Holladay, market manager, system development and integration group. "It is important for us to educate our customers on the benefits of AVB, and we encourage anyone who is at InfoComm to come by our booth or seminars to learn more - particularly those connected with house of worship system design."

Six months after they were acquired by Behringer holding company The Music Group, Midas and Klark Teknik are to launch a host of new products at InfoComm 2010. Full details will not be revealed until showtime, but the manufacturers have announced that there will be additions to the Midas digital range as well as new standalone KT audio distribution and networking products, with a focus on making Midas technology "more accessible to an even greater range of budgets and applications".

"This is the biggest multi-product launch ever for Midas and Klark Teknik," said managing director John Oakley. "More people than ever will be able to use our products, with new consoles offering on the one hand more power and on the other lower-cost entry to Midas mixing. They will also discover the versatility of our audio networking systems and how easy they are to set up and use."

Elsewhere on the Convention Center showfloor, Technomad will introduce a new compact, high power, all-environment 18" subwoofer, Oslo. Developed to suit indoor and outdoor themed entertainment applications, the new sub offers very low frequency response (below 100Hz) and high power rating (1250W continuous), and is described as the only completely weatherproof subwoofer currently available in the 18-inch format.

"Technomad is confident that the addition of the Oslo subwoofer to its line of weatherproof loudspeakers will dovetail nicely with expanded opportunities in the European installation market," Technomad vice-president Rodger von Kries tells PSN-e.

TiMax will showcase the TiMax SoundHub system matrix controlled by a Crestron remote touch-panel, using Out Board's new AVControl Ethernet interface, which is also configured for AMX and Medialon control systems. The TiMax SoundHub's new S-Version advanced audio showcontrol software - which is aimed at event and attraction sound designers - will also be demonstrated.

There will be more InfoComm preview coverage in the June issue of Pro Sound News Europe, and on PSN-e in the weeks ahead.
