In the fourth video from The Pre-Roll – the two sessions of talk and Q&A ahead of the main event at this year’s Pro Sound Awards, held at the Ministry of Sound in London in September – Stephen Street joins Andre Jacquemin, Ben Hillier and host Phil Ward to run through a music production masterclass, discussing how he balances the demands of artist and record company, explaining why he doesn’t have a “signature sound” and recalling how he first came across the Kaiser Chiefs…

The Pre-Roll format will return at our new event, PSNPresents…, at the Ham Yard Hotel, Soho, on 12 March. Focusrite was announced as a sponsor last week (see Focusrite confirmed as PSNPresents… sponsor), with BBC Studios and Post Production craft manager Scott Talbott – a 40-year veteran of the industry who has worked on Doctor Who, 8 Out of 10 Cats, the Commonwealth Games and more – confirmed as the first speaker (BBC S&PP’s Scott Talbott to speak at PSNPresents…).
PSNPresents… will take place at the Ham Yard Hotel, London, on Thursday 12 March from 6.45pm with a 7.30pm start. Tickets are £35.
A variety of sponsorship packages are available for the event. Contact Ryan O’Donnell (firstname.lastname@example.org), Darrell Carter (email@example.com) or Rian Zoll-Khan (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more information.
