Popular Pro Tools user sites launch strategic partnership

ProToolerBlog.com, The AIR Users Blog and Pro Tools For Media have announced that they are pooling their expertise to create a major new independent online community entitled Pro Tools Expert.

ProToolerBlog.com, The AIR Users Blog and Pro Tools For Media have announced that they are pooling their expertise to create a major new independent online community entitled Pro Tools Expert.

The sites say that the aim of the new partnership – which has no direct connection with Pro Tools creator Avid – is to collate their ‘expertise and influence’ for the benefit of the Pro Tools community in both music and post. In addition, manufacturers and distributors will be able to refer to a single point of access for the community that will result.

“I am very excited to be a part of this new venture,” said Mike Thornton MIBS, founder of the Pro Tools for Media blog. “Right from the start we have always had a great deal of mutual respect for each other and so when Stefan [founder of ProToolerBlog] and Russ [Hughes, founder of AIR Users Blog] suggested this idea I jumped at it. This partnership will enable each one of us to play to our strengths and together we will be able to provide the worldwide Pro Tools community with a true ‘one stop shop’ for news, reviews, tricks and tips for the beginner and expert alike, whether for music or post applications.”

The new site, www.pro-tools-expert.com, will launch soon. It will initially host a holding page with links to the existing sites while the new Pro Tools Expert presence is being developed.
