PLASA London signs up as Pro Sound Awards sponsor

With just over a week left until the inaugural Pro Sound Awards, support for the event grows even more as PLASA London confirms its sponsorship of the Marketing Campaign/Initiative of the Year Award.

PLASA London has been confirmed as the latest sponsor of the inaugural Pro Sound Awards, to be held at the Ministry of Sound on 19 September 2013. In addition to covering the main pro-audio sectors – Live/Touring, Studio, Installed Sound and Broadcast Audio – four special awards for Rising Star, Grand Prix, Lifetime Achievement and Marketing Campaign/Initiative of the Year will be presented during the main event. PLASA London is sponsoring the Marketing Campaign/Initiative of the Year Award, with L-Acoustics, d&b audiotechnik, DiGiCo and Soundcraft Studer in the running for the prize. In just a few hours, the doors to PLASA Focus: Austin will open, where over 50 leading lighting, audio and stage technology companies will be exhibiting. This side of the pond, PLASA London has already attracted 55 new companies that did not exhibit in 2012, and have just released details of its hotly anticipated pro-audio education programme in the new AudioLab Theatre. A new pro-audio laboratory, AudioLab Interactive and a 1000sqm demo facility, AudioLab Arena, are also new to this year’s show. “As we at PLASA London seek to strengthen the pro-audio content of our forthcoming show at ExCeL in October, it makes perfect sense to give a big ‘thumbs up’ to the first Pro Sound Awards in September,” said Jennie Barratt, PLASA show manager. “We’ve all seen the importance of clever and innovative advertising initiatives across the entertainment industry, so we’re very pleased to attach the PLASA Show name to the Marketing Campaign of the Year Award. Here’s to a great night on the 19th!” Sennheiser, DiGiCo, Focusrite Novation, Fineline Media Finance, Martin Audio, Sony Europe, Genelec, Medialease and Integrated Systems Europe are already onboard as sponsors. Nordoff Robbins is the evening’s Charity Partner while The Space, the Institute of Sound and Communications Engineers (ISCE), the International Association of Broadcasting Manufacturers (IABM) and the Institute of Acoustics have all confirmed their support for the event.
