PLASA Focus expands with two new European shows

Brussels and Glasgow join Leeds as host cities for the entertainment technology events.

The PLASA Focus group of entertainment tech trade shows has announced two more European dates for your 2014 calendar.

PLASA Focus Brussels will take place on 3 and 4 November at the SQUARE meeting centre, and aims to attract a range of visitors from the Benelux region. The show has received over 70 applications for stands, ranging from worldwide companies like Bose and Shure to local distributors such as EMD Music, Soundsystem BVBA and XLR.

PLASA Focus Glasgow, on 2 and 3 December, is PLASA’s second show in the UK, and has so far received over 50 exhibitor applications. Confirmed exhibitors at the SECC include Cadac, CUK Audio, FBT Audio, RCF Audio, SSE Audio and The Warehouse.

Free registration for both events is open now.

While the main PLASA London show will still take place at the ExCel on 5–8 October, the announcement of the PLASA Focus events in Glasgow and Brussels marks a continuation of the organisation’s recent preference for smaller, regional shows, as pioneered in the US in Baltimore, Nashville and Austin, Texas. The Glasgow event also marks PLASA Focus’s debut outing in Scotland.

“Since the foundation and subsequent success of the first Focus event in Leeds, there have been requests for PLASA to extend this model further throughout the UK and Europe,” comments PLASA director of events Christopher Toulmin. “I am pleased to confirm that this request is now becoming a reality with the launch of two new events for 2014, both here in the UK and on mainland Europe.

Both events will continue to bring new regional audiences everything our existing visitors have come to expect from PLASA Focus: good representation from key industry brands; educational opportunities through our Professional Development Programme; and the time to network with industry colleagues. Exhibitors can look forward to well-run events, high quality visitors with decision making powers, and cost effective solutions with an extremely attractive return on both investment and business objectives.”
