The announcement of a new regional event in Austin, Texas, follows the merger between PLASA and North American trade association ESTA at the start of this year.
Modelled after PLASA Focus: Leeds, the new event – PLASA Focus: Austin 2012 – will be held on 22/23 February at the Renaissance Austin, Texas.
Organisers say that the two-day show will be reasonably priced for exhibitors and free to registered visitors. A hard wall booth package – including furniture, power and lighting – is intended to help ‘level the playing field’ for exhibitors, while PLASA members will receive ‘substantially reduced’ pricing on exhibit space.
“These unique PLASA Focus events will provide regional opportunities for companies to give more of their staff a chance to see new products, receive training and network with vendors and peers,” commented Lori Rubinstein (pictured), PLASA’s North American executive director. “They also offer dealers, rental houses and production companies, as well as manufacturers, a terrific and inexpensive vehicle to reach new and existing customers in their own backyard.”
Jackie Tien, PLASA’s media and events director, added: “We look forward to offering our industry colleagues fresh, new business and networking opportunities through PLASA Focus: Austin and our ongoing PLASA Focus US events.”
