PLASA has announced new professional development training events that will be aimed at those seeking to develop their industry skills.
The seminars and workshops will be led by professionals who will prepare participants with advice on branding as well problem-solving solutions. PLASA will also offer the chance to explore the latest in electrical and wiring regulations, which comes into action January 2019.
Burnt Orange PR executive Lauren Rogers will lead a workshop on branding, communications and strategy, on November 21 at Leisuretec in Leighton Buzzard. Rogers has previous work experience with international music and sporting events such as the Big Chill Festival and the FIFA Club World Cup Abu Dhabi. The workshops are designed to explore the significance of unique branding and is targeted towards businesses with a shared goal of wanting to stand out from the increasingly saturated market place.
Engineering consultant and industry expert, James Eade, has originated the IET guidance on temporary electrical systems and represents the industry on the British Standards Committee for IET Wiring Regulations. Eade will provide the latest updates to the wiring regulations on November 22, at Blackout's London location.
The session is developed for manufacturers, distributors, venue owners and end-users and will help increase an understanding of the legal obligations to ensuring electrical safety in the workplace.
The Ideas Centre COO, Caroline Russell will present a workshop on February 14 2019, at Stage Electrics in Bristol. Russell began her career as an analytical chemist in the sports anti-doping industry and has worked her way into operational and project management. The workshop is aimed at business owners who require motivation and leadership skills.
